Not yet

Nope, it ain't Easter here in Greece yet. We still have one week to go - this year. Next year I think we share Easter with the non-Orthodoxites, but I could be wrong. Usually it seems like the Easters are weeks apart.

At any rate, Happy Easter to all the non-Orthodox folks back at home and abroad. I hope you all had an excellent holiday.

You are right, the Non-Orthodoxites will be celebrating at the same time as us next year, on April 8th but that's it till 2010. We'll be back to celebrating a month apart in 2008.

In the past we all used to celebrate at the same time until the Pope decided to create a new method of working out when Easter fell. Just purely a case of Church politics.

What I like about living in ALbania is that today is a holiday, next Monday is a holiday, and the Monday afer that is also a holiday. We get Catholic, Orthodox, and Muslim days off!

Yea, I was always asking my parents about what Orthodox easter was, because it was always on our calendars. It confused me as a child.

Traveller one, we get the following Monday too because it is May 1st! Well, my husband gets it off, I don't work anyway...
