Do not wear a bright orange shirt at dusk in the summertime in Thessaloniki, unless you want thousands of gnats to dive bomb you like you are some kind of bug light.
Bwahahahahaha! At least you just got bit by bugs with no diseases! Whoops. Sorry. I'm terrifically sympathetic to your plight, having been the target of such bites in the States, but my new African brain is thinking, at least it wasn't orange SOCKS which would attract malarial flies. See? There's always someone worse off. ;-)
Lol Leanne. Thank god we don't get malarial bugs. At least not in crazy abundance like in Africa. But really, I don't remember the neon colors attracting so many bugs back in the 80's.
