Introducing Luna Lovegood...

All the parts have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and shooting is scheduled to start next week. 14-year-old Evanna Lynch has been chosen to play the part of Luna Lovegood, and I think she looks right for the part. We'll see how well she pulls it off.

The official press release can be found here. I can't wait to see it in 2007!

I loved that the HPiv movie included scenes with the Weasley twins and very disappointed that they hadn't included Luna. Thanks for the HP tip. I can't wait to log off and rub my children's noses in it!

I HATE it when movie characters end up with new faces! What could they do though? The "old" kids were a bit too old for the last moive.

Looking forward to seeing the next installment of Harry Potter (I still have to see the last one in English)!

Cyn, she is actually a new character. All the other kids will be played by the same actors (thank goodness). The weird thing is, the actors are all the right ages for the books - 15! Kids sure do look older than I thought they did!

Zardoz, no, this is a different girl. But I think she looks right for the part just the same. Here's hoping she can act!

Flubberwinkle, the Weasley twins are my favorite characters! Luna is my next favorite after them. I don't think Luna was featured in the 4th book so that is why she was left out of the movie.
