When having a discussion with your wife or partner, DO NOT at any point in the conversation tell your beloved that her behavior resembles that of your mother. This does not help the conversation in the least little bit, no matter how much she actually is like your mother or how much she likes your mother.

That's one thing my husband could never say to me and keep a straight face. We both know my shoes aren't organized by season, colour and heel size like my mother in law's. Or that I really don't care what's behind the baseboards in my kitchen let alone clean them. Or that his shirts shouldn't have two creases like railroad tracks on his sleeves. If he ever did tell me I was like his mother, I'd probably take it as a compliment. LOLOL

And Seawitch, it wasn't one of those superficial things like that, it was a "habit" that I share, apparently, with his mother.
