Maybe not appropriate

A New Zealand man thought it would be a hoot to dress up as a suicide bomber for a costume ball. Equipped with a good outfit and fake explosives, he had a fine time at the party, but couldn't catch a taxi home. He dumped the outfit and explosives in a trash can and made his way home. Unfortunately, a poor homeless man found the goods, contacted police, a couple of hotels were evacuated and three streets were closed off.

The "bomber" turned himself in to police, but luckily he got off without any charges. Perhaps good judgment will win out over his next costume.

Halloween of 2001 one of my friends here in Oak Ridge, TN dressed up in traditional Arabic gear with a sign on the front that said "NY or Bust".

Amazingly, he survived the night.

I think in 2001 maybe you could still get away with it. Today people are sooooo creeped out by stuff.

But you know, if you don't have fun with it all, you just end up going a little insane.
