Agree with you there!

Greece has been on a roll for the last couple of years, what with victories in the Eurosoccer, Olympics, Eurovision and now Eurobasketball.

Wonder what next year holds?

PS .. hows life in Greece? Dont drink too much Ouzo or Retsina .. it aint good for your health ;-)

Eίμαστε Πρωταθλητές Ευρώπης!
We Are The Champions of Europe!

Can you tell I'm happy? Here I am, it's 4am and I haven't been home long from celebrating!!

Well done Greece! I look forward to seeing your well deserved warm welcome at Athens Airport!

Life in Greece is great! It is nice living in a place that actually has fall weather (as opposed to Tennessee, which in the fall was hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, then finally cold for the winter, ugh).

I confess I don't really like Retsina. Ouzo is good, but I don't drink it much. I stick to Jack Daniels mostly. =p

I really hope Greece wins the next two World Cup qualifying games and makes it to the World Cup. Winning the World Cup would be something, wouldn't it?

EllasDevil, you were one of the honkers, weren't you? =p

This is basketball you're talking about right? How many of the "Greek" players were American, Lithuanian, Australian and Slavic?

Mel, the answer to your question is... possibly!! I may have made some noise but don't worry. I paid for it!

As for your question 'Seriously Ill', the winning basketball team consisted of Theodoros Papaloukas, Vasilis Spanoulis, Nikolaos Zisis, Giannis Bourousis, Panagotis Vasilopoulos, Antonis Fotsis, Nikos Hantzivrettas, Dimos Dikoudis, Kostas Tsartsaris, Dimitris Diamantidis,Lazaros Papadopoulos, Mihalis Kakiouzis. Oh and the head coach was Panagiotis Giannakis.

So yeah, if you want to educate me as to how many of those players are American, Lithuanian, Australian and Slavic and to the reason they are not Greek then I'd be interested to hear...
