Well, it finally happened

I didn't think it could happen as long as I remained childless, but alas, it did. While watching a teen movie tonight I found myself identifying with the parents, and not the teen.

Ah, well.

Time to have kids? Or not....

Yes, it IS time. Four or five at least running around saying "Yasou Y'all". :)

Sorry, but your in-laws called me and told me to tell you that, and also kick the cats to the curb! LOL

The cats aren't going anywhere near a curb. Cats are good because you can leave them for a few days (or to go out for a coffee) without being bothered.

Kids, on the other hand, are tiny little parasites who suck the life blood out of you.

Seriously though, if I could have one without the health risks of giving birth AND if it would pop out at the age of 8, or something, I could deal with it. But babies scare me.

Babies are pretty scary but the sleepless years after having them are scarier. Stopped at one. Couldn't face all that again.

Thanos,

LOL

You can call my little poke at Melusina an "educated guess" on what your parents say and think because I think all Greek parents went to the same "finishing school".

Melusina,

Re: children. They can make you the happiest person in the world or the most miserable. You are also correct in saying they can suck the life out of you. However, there is no greater joy in seeing them flourish and slowly but surely become decent, intelligent, loving people who love you back out of respect instead of need and begin to appreciate the sacrifices that you have made for them. It truly is wonderful and one cannot fathom these emotions from the outside looking in. I was indifferent towards children before mine and my wife hated kids. Yet now, she loves them more than life itself. It just works that way.
